◆ APPLICATION INFORMATION:

• RECOMMENDED DOSAGE:

(0.6 - 2.0)% by weight of binder material, higher dosages can be used depending on the mix design, and

concrete requirements.

• COMPATIBILITY:

G-PLAST® 1050 is compatible with:

- All types of Portland cements (OPC and SRC).

- Concretes with pozzolanic materials such as GGBS, PFA, micro-silica.

For combining with other products in a concrete mix, kindly contact our Technical Services Department for

information about specific combinations. (Trials must be performed before)

• DISPENSING:

G-PLAST® 1050 should be added to the concrete while being mixed using a suitable dispenser. Add to the

concrete with the mixing water to obtain the best results.

G-PLAST® 1050 must be added to the gauging water or poured with it into the concrete mixer during batching

(do NOT add it directly to the dry mix).

Trial mixes must be performed before to establish the optimum dosage and performance.

• CONCRETE CASTING:

All standard rules of good concreting practice, concerning production and placing, are to be followed. (Refer

to relevant standards.

• CURING:

Fresh concrete must be cured correctly, especially at high temperatures, to prevent plastic and

drying shrinkage. Use BRIX CU205® product as a curing agent, or apply wet hessian 24 hours after.

• APPLICATION NOTES / LIMITATIONS:

- In case of overdosing, the set retarding effect increases, and additional air is entrapped.

- The concrete must be kept moist during this period to prevent premature drying.

- Mix design must be selected and local material sources must be trialed before using the additive.

- Suitability tests on the fresh concrete must be carried out before pouring.

- Ensure that formwork is properly installed and secured before casting.

◆ SAFETY:

• TRANSPORT:

Non-hazardous.

• TOXICITY:

Non-Toxic under relevant health and safety codes.

• DISPOSAL:

For disposal of chemical products, users shall refer to the most recent Safety Data Sheet (SDS) containing

physical, ecological, toxicological, and other safety-related data.

• FIRST AID PROCEDURES

If it comes into contact with the skin, wash the contaminated skin with soap and water. If it contacts the

eyes, immediately wash (irrigate) the eyes with large amounts of water, occasionally lifting the lower and

upper lids. Get medical attention immediately.

G-PLAST® 1050 is a synthetic dual action liquid super plasticizer developed for ready mixed concrete to give it workability, retention, and strength development of normal grade concrete mixes without adding water.

• Suitable with all cement types and used as a water reducer in the production of flowable concrete, and recommended to be used wherever high-quality concrete is demanded, especially in difficult placing and climatic conditions, and with all elements such as: Slabs, foundations, walls, columns, supports, thin elements, and solid reinforcement.

• It is also used as a water-reducing agent for the production of high early-strength concrete.

• The product improves the effectiveness of the water content of a concrete mix by reducing surface tension.

• It is also used to produce flowing, easy-to-compact concrete.

• Used as a good retarding for concrete with fast setting.

G-PLAST® 1050 offers the following properties:

  • As a Super plasticizer: • Substantial workability improvement, without adding water • Concrete is easy to place, especially for thin components. • Densely packed reinforcement. • Concrete requires less vibration.

  • As a water reducer, • Final compressive strength significantly increased. • Increases both working time (retardation) and workability of concrete without adding water. • Reduces segregation of concrete. • Improves surface finish.

  • No excessive air entrainment • Improves pumping without workability loss (especially in hot weather). • Reduces permeability of concrete. • Reduces shrinkage cracks. • Free of chlorides.

G-PLAST® 1050 Meets quality standards and requirements of: • ASTM C494 (Type – G) • EN 934-2
